My Journey in Film and Television
I’ve been in the world of film and TV for 20 years and have done nearly any job you can think of: grip (yes, I can tell you what that is), production assistant, extras wrangler, set decorator, Sharknado survivor and finally writer. Here’s some of the highlights of that journey.
It’s hard to put into words how much working on this show meant to me. Having grown up with the original Full House and being able to actually write for those characters was a dream come true.
But what made it truly special was all the amazing people I got a chance to work with.
Fuller House
Warner Bros. Writers’ Workshop
This workshop did so much for me to finally make that leap to become a professional TV writer. Out of the thousands of people who apply each year, somehow I was one of the nine that was accepted (and one of only three comedy writers).
I learned so much from the WB executives, the guest speakers and from my fellow participants. These are some of the most talented writers in the industry and I’m truly amazed that I got to work wth them.

Partners
There were a lot of firsts on this for me. First time in a real writers’ room, first time getting a joke on TV, first time working with the legendary Bob Boyett and Robert Horn and the first time having an actual speaking role on a show.
Sheree Guitar Entertainment
Sheree Guitar has been my manager for over a decade, but our relationship goes much farther than just manager/client.
From the table reads at her office, to the pool parties at her house, Sheree has been there for the majority of my TV career and I’m thankful for everything she’s done for me.
I’ve also met some of the most amazing, talented and fun people through Sheree. People who I’m lucky enough to now call my friends.
Visit NC Ad
That time my eyebrows starred in a commercial.
Shu’s Out of this World Adventures
Really fun kids’ movie with a great message that I was able to write with some amazing producers. Learned a lot about animation (and farting cows).
Drunk History
Really enjoyed working on this show a few times as a drunk history re-encactor. To be clear: I wasn’t drunk, the narrator was drunk. (Okay maybe I was a little drunk.)
Eastbound and Down
The hardest I have ever laughed on a set. Being around comedy legends like Danny McBride, Jody Hill and my personal comedic hero, Will Ferrell inspired me to finally make the move out to LA and pursue comedy writing.
Death Sentence
What really started it all, my first real big budget movie that I worked on. Yes, that’s a young James Wan (Director of “Saw” among a million other things) and an even younger me. Met some great people on this that I’m still friends with to this day. (Flash, I’m looking at you).
Wet Hot American Summer (The Series)
Got to work on this show playing a camp counselor and wear some short shorts everyday!
Cabin Fever 2
Super fun movie to work on with a ton of action, guts and blood (literal buckets and buckets of blood). Plus a really fun cast and crew to work with. (I still have the severed arm from this shoot)
The Bleeding
From coordinating hundreds of undead extras, incessant night shoots and getting doused with brown water from an ancient fire sprinkler, this movie nearly killed me. But I did get to play a vampire for a moment, so it was all worth it.
Sharknado 4
Okay, I want to be very clear, I’m in this movie for less than 5 seconds (and half that time I’m looking at Jillian Barberie’s butt). But hey, now I’ve got a Sharknado on my IMDB page, so I’ll take it!
Random
I honestly can’t remember what these random pictures were from but they look cool so you have to look at them.
Original Work
Welcome to Nardsville
Here’s an animated pilot that my writing partner, Jessica and I have been working on about a surf shop run by two brothers. Oh, and everyone is an enchanted sea creature.
Shredding Chicken
An animated kid’s movie I wrote about a skateboarding chick who’s just trying to rip but keeps getting held back by his family and some bullies. But with the help of his friends and a surprising mentor, he just might turn into a radical skater.
Old Punx
A pilot I wrote about an old punk band who decides to get back together after 30 years of hating each other.
